I have no idea why this MOD/retail game is last on my list! Maybe because I have a lot to write about and being the lazy so and so i thought i'd do it last.
Counter Strike is probably the largest multiplayer game worldwide. It, like so many other games has a hugh following and plenty of clan base leagues across the world.
Basic idea of the game: This is very simple 2 teams one Terrorists(Ts) and the other Counter-Terrorists(CT's). Different maps with different objectives, either Bomb, Escort or Rescue.
Bomb: The Ts have a bomb to place in one of two dedicated places on the map, the CT's have to defuse it or prevent the placing of the bomb.
Escort: The CT's have a VIP on the team and he has to be escorted to the escape zone. Ts have to eliminate the VIP.
Rescue: The CT's have to rescue hostages and bring them back to a rescue zone. Ts have to stop CT's.
Currently the latest patch for Counter Strike is available to upgrade to Version CS1.3
